The Life Sciences Product Manager is responsible for the global product planning and product marketing for STARLIMS Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) targeted to laboratories in the clinical and healthcare market segments (Pharmaceutical and Biotech, Molecular Dx, Clinical Research, Clinical Service Organizations, Biobank and Biorepository and Public Health). This includes managing the product throughout the entire product lifecycle. PM is responsible for gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements defining the product vision and working closely with engineers to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing, and customer service to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's responsibility also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.
Responsible for Driving the Product Roadmap, VoC, and KOL Engagements
Manage a suite of workflow data management solutions focused on improving healthcare/clinical outcomes for the Life Sciences sector - Pharmaceutical and Biotech, Molecular Dx, Clinical Research, Clinical Service Organizations, Biobank and Biorepository and Public Health
Understand the market landscape and the position gap
Prioritize use cases to develop a strategic and comprehensive product roadmap
Cultivate networks with key opinion leaders in the industry as well as with key stakeholders within the company to guide strategic vision
Work closely with design teams to rapidly prototype the solution concept and pitch to customers for feedback. Drive user experience / interaction studies and bring the insights back to the internal teams
Co-create with customers to ensure product market fit
Use agile principles - fail fast fail early. Prove value proposition early in the product lifecycle. Rapidly prototype ideas and iterate with customers
Heavily utilize data insights, market and customer research, and your product intuition to continually improve the product
Maximize reuse of capabilities across products to accelerate time to market
Define Business Opportunity
Work closely with customers and KOL leads to define the unmet market need
Create business cases and pitch to stakeholders including executive management
Conduct willingness to pay studies and explore reimbursement options
Evaluate product sales performance and make enhancements as required.
Executing on Product delivery and foster collaboration
Act as a key contact for internal departments including Engineering, Customer Service, Regulatory Affairs and Quality. Develop a mechanism to share customer perspectives with all the stakeholders
Work with key internal departments to help resolve product design issues and own trade-off decisions
Responsible for the entire product life-cycle, upgrades and sunsetting older product versions
Clearly communicate plans, insights, data, and results to a spectrum of audiences including executives, product teams, R&D and other decision makers across the company.
Drive new product launches Go to Market (Product Performance): Initiates and drives value and marketing messages and go-to-market plans, in collaboration with marketing. Works with marketing to plan and execute marketing activities, e.g. value messages, marketing materials, webinars, etc. Primary focus, leverage marketing to drive product economics
Work closely with commercial and marketing team to guide market development activities
Evaluate post launch performance and manage product upgrades
As a Product Manager for Life Sciences, you bring
7+ years of experience in Product Management, successfully building the vision and delivering innovative enterprise Healthcare IT, Life Sciences decision support and clinical workflow products and solutions as a lead or sole product manager from conception to launch.
Experience in building products with proven value in market. Track record and passion for building great products and taking them to the next level
Deep understanding of the customer journey and clinical workflows across different sectors within Life Sciences (Pharma/Biotech, Molecular, CRO's, Public Health, Contract Service Organizations, Biobanks and Biorepository) is highly desirable. Experienced in addressing technology gaps across the healthcare continuum.
Systems thinker and able to connect the dots across the complex healthcare eco system
Previous experience working in critical clinical/healthcare solutions or advanced clinical decision support solutions is highly desirable
Good understanding of software data management systems for highly regulated healthcare markets
Management of complex projects with ambitious milestones in high pressure circumstances
