The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist (CPS) provides both clinical and administrative services. The CPS promotes rational and cost effective drug therapy and provides both direct and indirect patient care, drug therapy monitoring, prescriptive authority, quality assurance/improvement, staff/patient education and consultation in assigned patient care areas. Serves a multi-functional role and has advanced knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacotherapeutics. Responsibilities Indirect Clinical Care i.
