The Pharmacy Formulary and Med Safety Manager will be responsible for:
Monitoring and overseeing Hospital Formulary operations and services of the department.
Planning and implementing Formulary and Medication Safety related forums and related education, prioritizing and delegating work assignments and allocating resources to meet patient care requirements.
Providing leadership in management and utilization of Hospital Formulary for clinical staff, monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with established procedures, standards and guidelines.
Evaluating and recommending changes in departmental operations and services to improve quality and performance as well as reduce costs.
Working as an integral member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team.
To qualify, you must have:
Completion of a Master's degree in Pharmacy and four to five years of previous experience. Doctor of Pharmacy preferred.
Current state licensure and registration by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy as a Pharmacist.
Work requires the analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experienced-based knowledge.
Work requires communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, and well-developed writing skills.
