We are searching for a Software Developer in Irving, TX to join the team .
The Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating programs for internal functional areas such as business operations, finance, human resources,
marketing or governance. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares design documents, performs development coding, test plans
and tests/debugs programs.
Develop robust, effective and efficient software solutions
Participate in the full lifecycle of big feature development from definition, design, implementation, and testing
Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize new and existing code base.
Designing functionality that addresses business needs, while challenging assumptions, re-framing the problem, and offering alternate solutions.
Being a fully engaged participant-leader in a self-organized Agile development team.
Participate as a member of the scrum team in sprint planning and backlog grooming
Supporting and mentoring more junior-level developers, and other members of our technology team.
Engage with Product Owners, Customers, and Customer Representatives to develop and implement elegant and effective solutions
Participating in technical design and code reviews
Actively participating on cross-functional teams that may include Architects, Developers, Q/A, and Product Management, Project Management, and Operations personnel
Developing and executing unit/integration tests
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.
3+ years of related software development experience
Solid understanding of Object-oriented programming concepts in Java
Design and development experience with web services in Java
Experience using collaboration tools such as JIRA, GIT, and BitBucket, or similar tools
Knowledge of build automation and continuous delivery pipelines
Experience in working in a Scrum/Agile environment
Knowledgeable about software system testing
Knowledgeable about usability and user experience in solution design
Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google cloud a plus
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to understand and listen to team members and fostering a productive team environment
Ability to learn and implement new technologies and processes
Have a desire to make a difference
Health-care experience is a plus
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
