Prepare grant applications and routing for the different levels of institutional approvals. Interaction with the West Campus for budgetary allocations.
Management of grants fiscal responsibilities. Budget for the dept is over $15,000,000 among NIH grants, pharmaceuticals, private industry, royalties and donations. Making sure payroll and expenditures allocations are correct.
Assist the faculty with their grants expenditures. Help with projections and making sure monies are spent accordingly and timely in conjunctionswith Senior Administrator.
Processing of personal status forms and position requisition forms. Having the knowledge of handling personnel needs as they come needed.
Assist the chairman, senior administrator and principal investigators with IRB and animal protocols. Making sure that protocols are renewed in due time and keeping track of the latest information.
Assist Senior administrator to maintain spreadsheet of salaries, update monthly to track funding, salary efforts, titles, employment status.
Assists West Campus administrator to make sure that all Letter of Authorization for intercharges are processed correctly.
Training for electronic grant submission.
