We are seeking a Senior Manager of Quality Assurance (QA) to join the team in Prescription Automation. This individual will lead the strategic vision, execution, and business unit adoption/adherence of the Quality Assurance standards and practices. This will be a hands-on player/coach position where the individual will be expected to participate in all quality and testing related events. The testing will involve both software solutions and industrial hardware/automation components.
The Senior Manager will own the entirety of the quality management lifecycle inclusive of software quality planning, testing, IT Security, software update strategy, hardware upgrades, strategic projects and programs. You will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing quality processes for code through development, test, and production environments.
Under your guidance, you and your team will perform both manual and automated testing and will be responsible to write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for application design and product evaluation to ascertain quality of the software.
Role and Responsibilities
Prioritize QA Team initiatives and projects to optimize efficiency and quality
Manage a team of QA analysts who are responsible for participating in testing activities and processes.
Collaborate with multiple development teams to identify needs for building and deploying their applications into test environments
Facilitate, manage, and communicate information related to server environments - their current state, deployed versions and availability to developers, QA engineers and team managers
Work closely with the DevOps Lead to identify and deploy infrastructure for testing environments.
Software code security compliance
Measure and monitor release progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed quality expectations
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the test and deployment plans and checklists.
Develop scripted manual tests to deterministically assure that the software system is performing as specified by the requirements
Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (manual and automated)
Formulate and create test results reporting and testing metrics.
Collaborate cross functionally with software engineers, business analysts, product managers, implementation specialists, and project managers to provide testing assistance.
Utilize proven software quality assurance methodologies and techniques to ensure the highest quality software
Improve software quality by appropriately challenging the status quo
Provide test harnesses and participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance testing) where appropriate
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field
6-8 years of experience in information systems operations environment in quality, systems analysis, or software development
4+ years of experience in test automation frameworks (such as Microsoft Unit Testing Framework/MSTest, XUnit , NUnit, Selenium, RestSharp), test case management tools (like Microsoft Azure Test Plans, ALM-Quality Center, Zephyr etc), multiple application types (Web, API, Mobile and Desktop) and DevOps environment.
3+ years of hands-on hardware and/or industrial automation experience (preferably in healthcare and/or pharmacy)
2 or more years of management experience preferred
2 or more year of SQL experience
Advanced knowledge of software quality assurance best practices
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must

General office demands
Ability to travel up to 20% to manage and assist in testing in both office and customer site settings.

This is a full-time, salaried position with a target salary of $120,000.00 + 20% incentive bonus.
