We are seeking a Sr. Manager Portfolio Management to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ or Louisville, KY.
The Sr Manager Portfolio Management contributes to the planning and is responsible for tracking strategic initiatives and business operations for RxCrossroads by McKesson IT.
The Sr Manager Portfolio Management oversees and directs the activities of 4 to 8 personnel, including vendors and consultants, to ensure the successful program oversight across RxC IT service delivery. Additionally, as a people leader the candidate should be able to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment and assist IT executives, IT peers and business stakeholders to implement optimal planning, decision-making, and project execution processes across key initiatives and cross-functional teams.
Manage and coach direct reports to drive optimal performance as leaders of strategic programs who work with a variety of stakeholders including project managers, business owners, SME's, IT, and other corporate functions.
Utilize expertise to provide backup support and facilitate the development and growth of project staff as they expand their roles and responsibilities and strengthen their skills. Provides project management consultation services to project team members.
Lead the RxC IT business operations functions to provide effective resource and financial tracking and management
Lead demand/capacity management for project and solution team delivery across RxC IT.
Lead portfolio governance to manage project approvals, prioritization, change requests, and risk management
Maintain rolling budget forecast for in-flight and pipeline projects and solution team service delivery including capital & non-capital spend.
Track and report metrics relative to baselines and current forecasts including HC spend by solution area and capacity/productivity management
Engage with the solution delivery teams and on root causes of issues affecting portfolio performance
Assist with Agile delivery transformation and responsible for the strategy and governance around processes and tools that affect portfolio performance
Helps define initiative/team specific policies and processes around use of shared accounts, tools, systems and serves as co-administrator
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
8+ years' experience in designing, building, and implementing business solutions through information technology
5+ years' experience in project management, requirements definition and/ or deployment of business requirements to information systems
Strong knowledge and expertise in change management and communication to all levels of the organization
Certification and practical experience in SAFe Agile, Lean/Six Sigma, and/or PMP, a plus
Able to travel up to 25% to other locations
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Leadership, management, and coaching skills with senior direct reports
Effective leadership experience in a Program or Project Management organization (highly preferred)
PowerPoint presentations development and communications delivery skills for leadership stakeholders
Detailed understanding of and experience with Agile and waterfall project planning and management methodologies and knowledgeable as to when to use each.
Budget management, financial and statistical analysis skills
Executive communications skills with strong written and verbal communication
Advanced skills with technology focused project management tools--e.g., Atlassian, Trello, etc.--and Microsoft Office Suite including MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project and MS Visio
Strong familiarity with the various technology functional areas including software development, infrastructure, architecture, customer support and ITIL
Ability to work with ambiguity
Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, business or related field
