We are seeking a Sr. Associate Software Developer to join our team in Irving, TX.
Responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating technology for customers in e-commerce and web services. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding, documents changes, and tests/debugs programs. Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
Participate as a member of the scrum team in sprint planning and backlog grooming, including activities such as systems analysis, develops code, developing test strategy, executes unit test, verifying and documenting the results, communicate and capture design ideas
Plans, conducts, directs and approves the analysis of business and/or operational problems to be solved with automated systems/applications.
Reviews and challenges functional requirements
Develops and implements technical requirements
Adheres to system design patterns and coding standards
Create technical methodologies/documents for engineering solutions.
Evaluate new technologies with team members. Develop proof of concepts and prototypes.
Sets standards while designing integrated and reusable solutions.
Adheres to standards and processes outlined to keep work tracking tools such as JIRA up to date.
Report weekly status to next level supervisor. Demonstrate flexibility in meeting important customer deliverables.
Understand business and operational requirements for system support and translate them into appropriate systems/application design needs.
Demonstrated ability to work in a medium and large team environment, multi-task to meet critical deliverable dates and strive for results.
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.
Prior experience with back-end JAVA development
Prior experience with SQL, PL/SQL development skills
Prior experience with RESTful Web Services
Prior experience with Spring/Spring Boot framework
Prior experience with SDLC
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Java certification a plus
Experience using tools such as JIRA, GIT, and Gradle
Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google cloud a plus
Experience with Microservices, Redis, ElasticSearch, container technology such as, Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus
Experience using build process tools - Gradle, Artifactory, Concourse, Bamboo
Experience in working in a Scrum/Agile environment
Knowledgeable about designing and building system solutions and business applications with
understanding of the software application configuration and setup.
Knowledgeable about Object-Oriented analysis and design
Knowledgeable about software system testing
Familiarity with rules and workflow engine (i.e. iLog) a plus.
Knowledgeable about performance tuning, scalability and redundancy concepts
Knowledgeable about usability and user experience in solution design
Health-care experience is a plus
Knowledgeable about Hibernate, JSON, XML, Struts, Application servers (Tomcat, JBOSS), ANT, Log4J, JDBC, EJB's, JSP, and Servlets
Experience with load-balanced and/or clustered server environments.
2-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
