McKesson Medical Surgical Extended Care is currently hiring an Account Manager to support the Post Acute Care territory of Des Moines south and east of Interstate 35. This is a remote based position and candidates must live in the Des Moines, Waterloo, or Iowa City area.
Responsible for selling across 23 product categories of McKesson's Medical-Surgical portfolio including but not limited to thousands of products such as durable medical equipment, home care supplies and oxygen equipment and supplies. Call points will be within long-term care, skilled-nursing, rehabilitation, sub-acute care, long-term acute care, homecare and hospice facilities. Responsible for selling products and/or services to a group of clients and identifying new and potential customers in order to reach the project profitability and billing levels within an assigned sales territory and/or account. Activities include: negotiation, sale, installation or delivery, and post-sale services. Responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of products and/or services and maintaining effective agreements. Handles less complex assignments and partners with more senior representatives or supervisor to close sales when necessary.
Degree or equivalent and 4+ years relevant experience\
Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
4+ years relevant sales experience, specifically with demonstrated cold calling and prospecting skills within the Healthcare space
Preferred experience selling into Long Term Care, Extended Care, Home Health, Hospice, DME, and/or Wound Care customers
Demonstrated ability to maintain existing customer base
Demonstrated experience consistently hitting and or over achieving sales objectives.
Proficiency with Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Healthcare Distribution experience preferred
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
