McKesson is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our team in either Richmond, VA or Irving, TX. This position functions as a key member of the Finance Team reporting to North American Financial Shared Services organization (NAFSS) supporting McKesson Medical-Surgical (MMS) finance team.
Work with Finance to research/troubleshoot production support issues sent to Finance Systems from the AP, AR, and GL teams. These could include error messages being received, assisting with data pulls, working with IT to ensure fixes are valid and tested prior to deploying a fix into production.
Work with the Finance teams throughout the enhancement/project process from request to implementation. The position will meet with the business to fully document the request and prioritize against the current request backlog. This information will be passed to IT, if needed, to work through the IT SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) process. The team will provide assistance in user story and test script preparation. Throughout the life-cycle of the request, we will provide communication of status and issues. The team will also provide support to the QA testing effort prior to implementation and post implementation transition to support.
Represent Finance as a Product Owner within IT SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) process.
Work with the Finance and IT teams to improve\automate business processes through effective use of technology
Ensure the integrity of the General Ledger data through various daily, weekly and monthly quality checks.
Ensure the integrity of the General Ledger data through monitoring and resolving discrepancies with external interfaces.
Maintain Chart of Accounts within JDE ERP system and all downstream mapping to external systems.
Support monthly close process as needed.
4+ years of relevant experience
4+ years' experience in accounting/finance or similar IT role
4+ years ERP experience understanding table structures and data flows
3+ years experience with SQL (querying data)
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
Excellent communication with internal cross functional teams for the purpose of gathering information and providing resolution
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
Strong knowledge of JD Edwards
Self driven to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
Excellent time management and prioritization
HS Diploma or equivalent required
4-year degree in accounting, finance, accounting information systems strongly preferred
Physical Requirements General Office Demands
