Current Need
We are seeking a senior leader to implement and sustain the first level Quality Program across the domestic distribution operations network. This senior leadership position will support a nationwide network of finished goods pharmaceutical distribution centers by building a culture of quality excellence with a keen focus on education, proactive assessments, right-sized solution development and inspection readiness. The position will build a Quality Management System across the domestic distribution network and report to the VP of Quality Operations.

Position Summary
The Director of Quality Operations is responsible for developing, implementing and sustaining the operations quality management system and program. The role will ensure that procedures, analytics and technology are implemented and effectively leveraged to maximize quality processes and compliance across 6 distribution centers within the Memphis area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review operational SOPs and provide recommendations to improve SOPs

• Develop training materials to increase working knowledge of the Quality Management System

• Establish format to assess for audit readiness and conduct on-site assessments

• Provide training for leaders and team members across the organization

• Serve as a first point of contact upon a regulatory agency arriving on site for an inspection

• Manage and review corrective and preventative actions.

• Recommend technology and tools to the organization to improve the culture of quality

• Develop audit readiness program and executive reporting content

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience

Critical Skills

• Detailed knowledge of FDA, DEA, State BoP and other regulatory agencies

• Deep knowledge of wholesale distribution and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical skills

Additional Knowledge & Skills

• Quality management system software experience

• Management of FDA or other Regulatory Body Inspections

• CAPA experience

• Internal Audit experience

• Training Program management experience

• Working knowledge and experience with Trackwise

• Worked in a highly matrixed environment

Education

• 4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements

• General Office demands

• May require up to 20% travel.
