The Manager, Provider Solutions will be joining McKesson Canada's fastest growing business unit and will be responsible for leveraging McKesson's size, scale and expertise in oncology to help provincial agencies and cancer centres achieve their systemic care plans and improve the quality of cancer care in Canada.
The primary focus of the Provider Solutions team is to identify innovative ways address provincial & regional strategic priorities and help cancer centres improve their quality person-centered systemic treatment plans.
The Manager, Provider Solutions, will work to secure innovative partnerships with cancer centres across Atlantic Canada to help the system address two overarching provincial goals: Extend the quality and safety agenda & Strengthen and enable care models.
The Manager is responsible for max capturing all oncology related businesses (i.e. existing and new potentials included), by creating and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships with provincial agencies and the regional cancer centres. The manger will be responsible for a) in-field relationship building and insights gathering, b) business partnerships/opportunities identification and execution, c) ongoing partnerships monitoring and management and d) revenue generation and optimization for McKesson Specialty Assets.
Developing, maintaining and communicating a formal account strategy and portfolio of key growth opportunities with strategic KOLs
Proactive identification and communication of the customer's short term and long-term strategic objectives
Maintains intelligence on upcoming challenges, technology developments and products in business segments
Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
Representing the voice of customer to the senior management team on important/urgent issues
Building customer intimacy with the key senior level functional areas within the KOL's accounts
Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
Involves and coordinates necessary McKesson personnel to support achievement of customer needs while meeting performance objectives
Actively gathers competitive intelligence within the business environment, including client groups, competitors within the industry and government departments
Reviews database to identify trends, issues regarding performance of program services
Assists in the implementation of new pharmaceutical product launches with respect to the pharmacy services across Canada
Provides professional internal/external presentations
Acts as the company's primary resource in his/her area of expertise, providing leadership and direction on all related issues
Shares technical and competitive information with colleagues and provide expertise to others when required
Promotes cross business unit collaboration
Participates in business development activities as subject matter expert on areas of expertise
Follows company policies in pursuing business opportunities, including ethical and health & safety policies, and submitting expenses.
An Undergraduate/Graduate Pharmacy, Nursing, Business or health care related degree preferred
Minimum of 5-7 years experience within healthcare sector, pharmaceutical industry, sales or clinical programs in key areas and knowledge of KOLs
Strong knowledge of the Cancer Care Environment and Care Gaps within the system.
Strong Knowledge of Specialty Pharmaceuticals and McKesson Specialty Pharmacy Service offerings
Strong financial and business acumen and the ability to create and defend a business case
Demonstrated experience in developing strategic account strategy
Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts
Demonstrated experience implementing change within the health care system
Solid experience in working with and communicating strategies and opportunities to an executive, account management, and business unit operations teams
Ability to travel up to 80% within Atlantic Canada.
