The Spiegel Lab focuses on developing novel small-molecule-based paradigms for treating human disease. As a result, much of the research in the lab is conducted at the interface between organic chemistry, molecular biology, and immunology. The lab has made important advances in basic and applied areas of science including oncology, diabetes, virology, aging, and bacteriology. These diverse research interests have led to several entrepreneurial spin-offs.
