McKesson is currently seeking an Associate Client Manager in our Louisville, KY office. The Associate Client Manager position is a client-facing role responsible for working directly with both internal teams and external customers to support the relationship between the client-manufacturer and all RxCrossroads by McKesson cross-functional teams across all business units. This may include internal/external HUB Partners. Client/account profiles may consist of low to medium complexity assignments. This role does not close sales but provides guidance and suggestions to clients and identify and qualify new opportunities. May work in tandem with the Business Development team members who closes sales and then with Implementation Managers that transition clients to the Associate Client Manager for ongoing account maintenance. Responsibilities include serving as the primary client contacts, ensuring clarity in all communications, monitoring program performance, and collaborating across the organization to enhance client and partner experiences. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can review and prioritize multiple assignments and work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple projects and initiatives. He/she must possess strong communication and presentation skills, as well as knowledge and experience necessary to offer recommendations and propose solutions for business problems that may be considered low to medium complexity. Hiring Requirements Key Responsibilities CONTRACTUAL and FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT - Monitors program profitability against plan on a monthly basis and prepares analysis if established thresholds are not met.
- Maintains updated budgets for customers reflecting actual costs and projections for the program year. This will include working directly with financial leadership team members.
- Understands contractual obligations and negotiates incremental contractual arrangements after program go-live. This may include involvement with legal and regulatory leaders to ensure appropriate contractual documents are executed.
- Coordinates internal effort to produce sizing on program expansions and delivers pricing to customer. This will include ensuring updates are documented in contract(s) and/or assisting on technical requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all client invoices prior to the billing period. Escalates identified billing issues/concerns to manager as necessary to ensure 100% accuracy in billing activities. Receives client invoices from finance department and ensures all invoices are received in a timely manner, reviews all line items, and verifies all backup supporting documentation.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT - Responsible for overall customer satisfaction with pharmaceutical client and HUB partners. Acts as primary point of contact for the client related to projects and project status information.
- Manages client expectations regarding the delivery of services and program performance.
- Provides customer with proactive, consultative services on process improvement opportunities, revenue generating activities and cost saving opportunities.
- Responsible for all written and verbal (non-sales and non-IT specific) communication to the client.
- Prepares and delivers Quarterly/Monthly Business Reviews to the client on the state of their business and outlines opportunities for enhancement, growth, efficiency, etc. Additionally, highlighting program details to keep the client apprised of all key operating aspects. This may also include ad hoc client specific reporting and/or dashboards.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Responsible for interfacing with sales and the customer to clearly define project scope. Scope of work to be used for the development of a business requirement document.
- Responsible for business requirement development, keeping updated, signature execution.
- Manages team sub-projects for the implementation of new products, services, client initiatives and change requests according to company/client standards.
- Responsible for managing project timeline, cross-functional teams, interdepartmental communication. Maintains project plans and tracking logs as appropriate or as requested by the client. Manages the change request process within all the functional operations teams.
- Responsible for identifying project priorities with customers and communicating priorities to internal teams, including executive leadership.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT - Reviews all program documentation prior to production release including Business Requirement Document, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, System Requirement Documentation, and Training Materials.
- Approves project scope, business rules, and overall project release.
- Ensures client sign-off is obtained on business requirements (initial and ongoing change requests).
- Responsible for storing client approved business requirement documentation in secured environment according to company standards and/or client requests.
- Monitors monthly performance against service level agreements and develops plan for corrective action if service levels are not met. This may include working across all functional operational teams.
- Serves as the first point of contact for day-to-day program issues. Involves appropriate team members as needed to resolve all issues within reasonable time frames and escalates issues to the team leader as necessary.
- Interacts with all internal departments to assist as needed in providing business understanding. This may include an occasional training exercise.
- Ensures timely delivery of reports according to program/client requirements.
- Verifies reasonability of data before submission to client and/or HUB partner.
- Understands, evaluates, and interprets data in order to accurately summarize meaning of information to the customer. This should include rationale and analysis of the impact of the data to either financials, operations, patients and/or providers.
- Serves as the point of contact for McKesson (corporate) and vendors associated with the Client who interact with McKesson programs. Interacts to support day-to-day operations and works with the appropriate cross-functional teams to resolve vendor service level/pricing concerns.
WORKFORCE and ADMINISTRATIVE - Monitors all cross-functional teams tracking on customer projects. This includes escalating to leadership when necessary to ensure timelines remain on track.
- Provides status reports to ensure senior level management visibility to program operations.
- Responsible for building a positive team environment with internal and external partners.
- Manages conflict resolution to ensure successful/productive projects to program operational teams.
Supplementary Details Minimum Requirements 1-2 years of experience in client-facing account management and project management Qualifications/Critical Skills - 1-2 years in business experience in Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Program or Client Management, Finance, Operations and Distribution.

Education - 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline such as Operations, Accounting, Finance, Logistics, etc. highly preferred
