Position Summary

Perform Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting activities including development of executive reporting, trend and variance analysis, and risks and opportunities, in support of US Oncology Research. Prepare and deliver financial presentations, business reviews, commentary across multiple functions and levels of leadership. Analyze and forecast full P&L: revenue, gross profit, operational expense. Create ad-hoc scenario models to support various shared service initiatives. Create, monitor, and communicate operational drivers through creative data mining and reporting. Develop partnerships and collaborate with business owners across multiple levels of the organization to improve financial projections and processes. Support ad-hoc analytics or projects and strategic initiatives as needed. Collaborate cross functionally across US Oncology and Ontada to drive PSASs Oncology data strategy. Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity. Use judgement within broadly defined policies and practices. Work is accomplished without considerable direction. Exert significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment. Anticipate change and direct/redirect efforts. Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly close process: perform analytics & variance analysis, identify and resolve irregularities

• Develops and reports monthly financial forecast, to incorporate key drivers, assumptions and business trends

• Develops, monitors and reports on key business drivers through creative data mining & data organization

• Partners with business leaders in development of annual budget, providing guidance and insight on clinical trial trends (trial openings, enrollment levels), people resource planning, and operational expense

• Ad hoc analytics including: modeling new business strategies, scenario analysis, pricing sensitivities

• Prepare & present financial reports to various levels of leadership

• Supports strategic pricing initiatives (sensitivity modeling, impact analysis)

Minimum Requirements
5+ years of finance related experience

Critical Skills

• Expertise in financial analysis, modeling, reporting

• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, be flexible and manage multiple projects

• Experience with financial data mining tools (ex: SAP, Cognos TM1, Hyperion Essbase)

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

• Deep analytical capabilities to convey results succinctly through both written and verbal communications

Additional Knowledge & Skills

• Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry preferred

• Experience with SQL, SAP, Tableau, TM1 strongly preferred

Education

• 4-year degree in finance or related field or equivalent experience

• Location - The Woodlands. Not a remote role

• Travel 5 -10%
