Position Summary:
The Contracting Analyst drives meaningful analysis to support contracting decisions for the Health Mart Atlas member pharmacies. The Analyst is dedicated to supporting the analysis of contract performance and related programs through our channel of contracted US Pharma independent, small and medium chain, and health systems pharmacy customers.

This role is responsible for collecting, reviewing, processing, and analyzing data received from our customer, channel and internal McKesson stakeholders. The analyst will work within the analytics team to develop and implement reporting collateral and monitoring processes that support the business strategy of supporting customers to maintain and increase by alignment with the right networks. It also includes the reporting of clinical and financial performance, trends, and other ad hoc requirements in an accurate and timely manner for internal and external stakeholders. This position requires the application of various methods, procedures, and in-depth knowledge of the team's programs to properly analyze data that enable business-critical decisions. Regular interaction and coordination with other teams is frequent.

The Contracting Analyst requires independent thinking, critical problem-solving skills, and understanding of the data and contracting criteria. The analyst must have ability to manage competing priorities in an accurate and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting & Analysis; Extract, validate, and summarize data generated from numerous databases to support weekly and monthly contract performance reporting requirements
• Manage weekly and monthly customer facing reports as well as business partner lists and reports
• Interpret and synthesize data from business partners, questioning and researching anomalies
• Generate reports and review key data trends; identify and communicate areas for further analysis or focused marketing initiatives
• Ad Hoc Data Analysis; Extract and analyze data to support internal and external data requests, including customer segmentation, ad hoc reports, and outbound campaign lists
• Use data to determine proactive identification of trends and make recommendations for campaigns or new processes
• Internal Operations; Generate and oversee regular data transfers to key internal and external partners
• Maintain familiarity with multiple file modalities and FTP protocol and application
  

Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills:

• Intermediate skills with MS Excel, SQL, Tableau
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization to bring numbers to life for a variety of stakeholders
• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) and ability to establish buy-in across different teams to achieve common goals

Additional Skills:

• Experience with PowerBI preferred
• Working knowledge of industry issues such as pharmacy reimbursements, PBMs, DIRs, Performance Scores and the connection between pharmacy performance and reimbursement.
• Contract interpretation experience
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects with multiple stakeholders

Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
