Reporting to the Director, Market and Customer Insights - Ontada, this role is responsible for developing a data-driven fact base to inform customer engagements with life sciences companies. This person will conduct deep primary and secondary research to generate unique insights, improve our offerings and identify potential sales opportunities. At times, this person will be able to work independently on complex and/or undefined tasks. In addition, this team will work closely with the sales and sales operations teams to develop customer-specific materials for key engagements. Ultimately, this person is responsible for leveraging qualitative and quantitative research to fuel our success with life sciences customers.
Deliver insights for strategic Life Sciences customer engagements and support the sales and sales operations teams - 50%
Analyze and share insights on customer strategies, needs, and opportunities to help the success of consultative customer engagements
Support development of base narrative and customer-specific presentation collateral for engagements with large life sciences customers
Define opportunity size for our offerings
Identify opportunities with life sciences customers and prospects to generate potential leads for the sales team
Build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders that will be assessed via internal customer satisfaction survey
Deeply understand our large life sciences customers and their pipelines - 25%
Provide detailed analysis of oncology R&D pipeline and PDUFA / regulatory approval types for large life sciences companies
Deeply understand product lifecycle, challenges and needs for large life sciences companies
Centralize and circulate voice-of-the-customer feedback
Leverage all market, customer and competitive insights, along with product portfolio perspectives, to define targeting strategies for large life sciences companies
Drive relevant industry insights through research and analytics - 25%
Analyze, identify and prioritize trends, challenges and needs across the oncology life sciences landscape
Analyze competitor strategies, capabilities, recent wins and relationships
Deliver reports on industry, competitor, and customer insights to key stakeholders, including product management, sales, and marketing teams
Conduct project-based and ad-hoc analyses based on company and marketing priorities
4+ years of marketing, strategy, consulting or product marketing required experience required - preferably in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
Experience in oncology industry preferred
Desire to be part of a mission-driven business whose goal is to advance cancer care
B-to-B experience preferred
Experience within healthcare preferred
Experience with brand, market and customer research methodologies a plus
Specialized Knowledge / Skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data into relevant insights and implications
Ability to bring data to life through images, charts, and presentations
Obsessed with customers and understanding their needs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task, manage changing priorities and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced marketing environment
Excellent cross-functional team, project and organizational leadership skills
Bachelor's degree in marketing, life sciences, business or related field
