Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to participate as a key leader in the activities of the North American Finance Shared Services (NAFSS) Inventory Controls Team, which partners within the business in the process of operational, regulatory and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. This role supports multiple distribution centers (DC) across multiple geographic locations. There will be considerable collaboration with DC operations teams, regional operations management and various centralized groups. This role will support group deliverables addressing compliance and reporting for external and internal teams, as well as drive internal controls via exception-based reporting.

This person needs to be a self-starter who will monitor and drive improvement of inventory control environment across the DC network through the development of strategic initiatives and policies. We are seeking a strong, ambitious, and self-motivated individual who has a track record of consistently delivering quality and accurate work in a high-performance culture.

Position Responsibilities:

• Design and perform detailed inventory control audits applying McKesson operations standards and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

• Provide written recommendations and lead discussions to senior operations management of observed opportunities (control execution, efficiency, etc.)

• Develop and update standard operating procedures based on departmental observations and data analysis

• Identify control risks through analysis of transactional data and develop mitigation/remediation plans to address

• Monitor control deficiencies and support management in the resolution of process issues and development of remediation plans

• Identify risks and opportunities stemming from new business initiatives and natural evolution of operational workflows.

• Provide guidance on best practices regarding control design and implementation

• Develop and produce performance metrics, reports, and scorecards

• Provide training to DC management and staff on key operational control processes

• Support distribution operations, accounting/finance organizations with various adhoc projects as required

Minimum Requirements

7+ years of inventory, internal auditing or related experience

Critical Skills:

• Proven track record of operational excellence

• Extensive knowledge and experience with JDE/E1 warehousing/financial applications

• Strong ability to trouble-shoot, research, root cause analysis and resolve issues.

• Strong SQL/VBA script writing experience

• Strong knowledge of inventory and inventory process

• Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships

• Proven ability to multi-task and priority

• Strong knowledge and application of auditing principles and practices

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution, distribution systems and applications, basic fundamentals of asset management

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel

• Six Sigma experience with Green Belt training

• Managerial experience highly preferred

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business or finance related field from four-year college is required
