We are seeking a People Analytics Associate. McKesson's Workforce Planning & Analytics (WP&A) team delivers better people and business outcomes through data that is business informed, business relevant, usable and actionable. As a member of the WP&A Team, the People Analytics Associate will deliver people analytics and insights to Business Leaders and HR to drive workforce decisions. Through close partnerships with the WP&A team and HR, the Workforce Analyst will gain a sound understanding of business objectives and use consulting skills to provide and interpret insights from workforce data. The Analyst will indirectly support multiple McKesson business units by delivering their workforce analytics needs.

The candidate is required to juggle multiple activities at a tactical level as well as identify opportunities that will lead to more value for McKesson's human capital assets. Gain strong understanding of business goals and use analytical skills to make data-driven workforce strategy recommendations to support business objectives
Partner closely with the WP&A team and HR to provide strategic decision support through data and analytics
Rapidly perform exploratory data analysis, generate and test working hypotheses, and uncover trends and relationships
Communicate results of analysis to other analysts, HRBPs, and HR leaders. Help tell stories with data and make recommendations by interpreting the "so what" and "now what" from analysis
Consult with clients and seek to understand the root of the client's challenge for which data and analytics can be leveraged
Validate HR data integrity in collaboration with WP&A and the HR Operations teams
Support and maintain data loads and quality analysis on Visier data
Support employee survey work through pre- and post- data validation and analysis
Minimum Requirements Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience. (2+ years of experience in a technical role preferred - i.e. People/Business/Financial Analyst, Engineer, etc.)
Proficient in Tableau; experience creating data visualization solutions to enhance business processes
Expert in MS product suite preferred; Highly proficient with Excel
Good analytical and problem-solving skills - approaches problems with rigorous logic and a curious mind - looks beyond the obvious and searches for deeper answers
Good interpersonal, relationship building, and collaboration skills -- Ability to assess needs, collaborate and deliver practical solutions that drive results
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Experience with Visier a plus
Experience in prepping data for employee surveys a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences - tells stories with data that resonate with stakeholders and maximize impact
Good planning, organizing, decision-making and problem-solving skills; ability to take initiative
Proven ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines and documenting progress towards those deadlines
Able to effectively gather project requirements from stakeholder
Have a high learning orientation; active exploratory mind and seeking to learn from others
Creative and strategic thinker -- ability to assess needs, collaborate, and deliver data-driven recommendations
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and results orientation
Education HS Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Math, HR, or related field or equivalent experience preferred
Physical Requirements General office demands
