Senior Research Analyst - Center for the Study of Drug Development, School of Medicine - (21001151)
Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development (CSDD) is an academic, multi-disciplinary, non-profit research group affiliated with Tufts University. Tufts CSDD develops and presents strategic information to help drug developers, regulators, and policy makers improve the quality and efficiency of pharmaceutical development, review, and utilization.
The Senior Research Analyst will assist with primary and secondary research activities. Conduct surveys, including questionnaire development and follow-up on survey completion, analyze data and report on results. Conduct interviews. Assist with writing and presenting reports. Familiarity with statistical software packages (SAS, etc.), MS Office required.
The Senior Research Analyst will gather, analyze and report on secondary research tasks (literature review; published reports; proprietary, publicly available and commercially available datasets). Organize secondary data for reporting purposes. Prepare secondary research data for future access. Contact organizations for information and clarification.
The Senior Research Analyst will update databases and create new project databases. Extract data from proprietary, commercial and government datasets. Develop PowerPoint presentations for CSDD publications and reports.
The Senior Research Analyst will edit, review, and draft manuscripts. Maintain working knowledge of scientific, legal, and economic aspects of drug development by reading peer-reviewed articles, industry trade sheets and other publications.
The Senior Research Analyst position requires independence in task scheduling and time management. Strong phone/web/video conferencing skills required. Additional skills needed:
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with Tufts CSDD Director, senior research staff on projects, in addition to interacting well with Tufts CSDD staff members and clients.
Take initiative to improve processes and procedures at the center.
Good communication skills when speaking with clients for survey results and/or with Tufts CSDD staff on specific projects.
Ability to multi-task and work on different projects; good time management skills.
Work collaboratively with conference and meeting organizers.
Master's degree in science and at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a related field of research.
