The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences houses the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice. The unit offers B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, M.S. in Pharmacology, Ph.D. in Pharmacological Sciences, and Pharm.D.
The Marketing & Communications Specialist for the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences uses marketing concepts in performing responsibilities such as planning, developing and implementing basic marketing plans, creating promotional or marketing materials, working on marketing events, conducting basic market research, etc. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the incumbent creates marketing materials (digital and print) for a variety of internal and external audiences; and maintains updated web and social media content for the school.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Solid knowledge of marketing principles, concepts, strategies and best practices.
Knowledge of customer service standards / procedures.
Organizational skills and skills in file creation, maintenance and management.
Written and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience in developing effective promotional materials for target audiences, including digital communications (email marketing, social media content, and print collateral).
Experience using web technologies, content strategies, and social media platforms.
Graduate degree in related area preferred.
Solid knowledge of institutional products and services. Knowledge of the campus and / or medical center including its achievements, mission, vision, goals, objectives and infrastructure. Experience in working with graphic designers, printers, mailing houses, and other outside contractors from concept to implementation to develop marketing pieces. Experience with design, multi-media, and/or web design (such asInDesign and WordPress). Experience with photography and/or photo/video editing.
Special Conditions Preferred:
Occasional travel may be required; valid driver's license. Occasional after hours and weekend work may be required.
