The Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice, in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, seeks part-time, non-tenured faculty member(s) to teach the Pharmaceutics course within the PharmD program. This course covers fundamental pharmaceutics topics including measurement and calculation, measurement systems, dosage and concentration units, isotonic solutions, electrolyte solutions, and non-sterile compounding of various dosage forms. The faculty member(s) will also be involved with other student activities including projects supervision.
Candidates at the assistant, associate or full professor rank will be considered.
The minimum requirements are a relevant degree (e.g. PharmD or PhD), as well as relevant teaching experience. Candidates are required to have previous experience teaching these courses and/or similar courses in the University of California system and/or an equivalent higher education setting.
Salary is commensurate with experience and at varying percentages of time, depending on the number and nature of courses assigned. Review of applications will begin immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.
