Job Summary Supervises work of pharmacists and technicians. Oversees daily operation in the pharmacy area. Performs training of new staff members and assesses pharmacist and technician performance of assigned responsibilities. Provides staffing support as necessary.
Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD. Experience: Three years of previous retail/outpatient/inpatient pharmacy experience required. One year of managerial experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of training and supervisory techniques. Knowledge of equal employment opportunity policies and procedures. Knowledge of employee policies and procedures. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices involved in the compounding and dispensing of prescriptions. Thorough knowledge of the calculation of doses and the preparation and use of percentage and stock solutions. Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutics, drugs, narcotics, and poisons. Thorough knowledge of the basic sciences underlying pharmacy, such as chemistry, biology, and physics. Thorough knowledge of pharmacy, drug, narcotic, and related laws of the state. Thorough knowledge of stock control and record keeping related to the work. Ability to instruct, direct, and evaluate employees. Ability to assume responsibility for the operation of a facility pharmacy. Ability to fill prescriptions and prepare standard medications. Ability to recognize physical, chemical, and therapeutic incompatibilities and drug interactions. Ability to apply pharmaceutical laboratory techniques. Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports. Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written forms. ~Possession of a valid State of Colorado Pharmacist's License.

Location Shift Work Type Pay Range Minimum: 118,913.60 Midpoint: 148,636.80 Maximum: 178,360.00 All job applicants for safety-sensitive positions must pass a pre-employment drug test, once a conditional offer of employment has been made.
