Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to join our EN Pharma Solutions Sales organization, based at our Florham Park, NJ headquarters.
Among other responsibilities, you will be tasked with growing the pipeline and sales with Pharma accounts, develop a deep relationship to drive new business development and achieve specific accounts. You will also drive the business using Sales Force as visit reports, sample request and account plan and use sales force as a tool to make fast decision and drive conversations using groups and chatter.

Formula for Success
Leveraging your education and professional background in a Product Management, Sales or technical role within the pharmaceutical industry, you will manage our Pharma Solutions Distribution partners in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada and serve as the central point of contact for distribution to develop commercial proposals for short- mid- and long-term growth. Additionally, you will provide solutions to competitive issues and customer problems, and interface on credit and payment issues. Additionally, you will collaborate with your colleagues in Mexico and Central America who directly manage local distribution partners, supporting them with best practices, facilitating target setting, performance tracking and incentive system excellence.
Your commercial expertise and in-depth knowledge of Pharma ingredients will be essential as you analyze trends to meet customer needs by leveraging the whole BASF portfolio, API's and excipients, with distribution partners and setting joint Sales and New Business Development Pipeline value targets.
Your technical knowledge and skills will be crucial as you develop and deliver training concepts to the distribution sales teams in alignment with the technical service team. You will also work closely with distribution partners to steer the BASF New Business Opportunity Project Pipeline.
Your ability to develop relationships will be important to develop a stronger distribution network for the Non-Exclusive excipients in the US.
Your strong conceptual skills and entrepreneurial drive will be invaluable as you provide regular reports including financial performance, highlights/lowlights, potential new/lost business, pricing, and market intelligence.
Your clear understanding of the market and value chain will be a valued asset as you utilize and manage available resources (e.g., Marketing, Technical, Supply Chain, Management) to support growth with distributors.
Driving your strong customer relationship management skills, you will identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the target market area, your hunting territory will be ME, VT, NH, MA, RI and CT.
Your innovative and customer focus skills will be important to drive the growth of the Biopharma Ingredients with existing Bio customers and generate new Bio customers.
Your ability to establish effective territory and account plans in accordance with market strategy will be essential as you promote BASF Pharma platforms and basic functionality features and benefits of BASF Ingredients to customer technical teams.
Your deep understanding of customer needs will be of value as you contribute ideas and market knowledge to fill innovation pipeline.
