PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at St. Joseph's Health
St. Joseph's Health
St. Joseph’s Health (SJH) in cooperation with the St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Pharmacy (WSOP), offers two ASHP accredited pharmacy residency programs. The post-graduate year one pharmacy residency offers two positions. A post-graduate year two pharmacy residency is available in infectious diseases. The St. Joseph’s Health/St. John Fisher College Wegman’s School of Pharmacy PGY1 Residency Program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training. Our program is designed to train select, highly motivated and qualified pharmacists and prepare them to provide patient centered pharmaceutical care as a clinical pharmacist in acute care medicine. Academic and educational skills are taught throughout the year during the teaching certificate program at St. John Fisher College. In addition, our program ensures that residents will acquire professional leadership skills and develop a passion for lifelong learning that will produce and maintain career satisfaction.
