The Pharmacy Practice Residency at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is dedicated to the development of caring, mature, professionally competent clinical pharmacists. The resident will develop the skills necessary to practice pharmacy efficiently, while delivering the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to the community, and remaining sensitive to the communities’ health care problems and resources.
The Bayfront Health St. Petersburg pharmacy residency program will build on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
The Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Residency Program prepares residents to become confident and competent clinicians able to effectively contribute to an interdisciplinary team in direct patient care. The program will prepare the resident to be accountable for providing optimal care to patients through educating healthcare professionals, patients, students, and the community on drug related topics.
