The pharmacy department provides 24/7 operational and clinical services. There are currently pharmacy clinical specialists practicing in pediatric critical care, pediatric cardiology, neonatal critical care, general pediatrics, pediatric oncology, pediatric bone marrow transplant, pediatric solid organ transplant, and pediatric antimicrobial stewardship. The PGY1 pediatric pharmacy residency program is a one year commitment that will provide residents with the knowledge and skills to provide outstanding pediatric pharmaceutical care for neonates through adulthood. Residents will:
Design, recommend, and manage safe and effective treatment for a diverse range of hospitalized patients.
Prepare, dispense, and manage medications to support safe and effective drug therapy for patients.
Demonstrate ability to manage formulary and medication-use processes using evidence to improve patient care.
Demonstrate leadership and management skills.
Provide education to patients, caregivers, and a variety of health care professionals.
The residency year will comprise of the following required and longitudinal experiences with the option to select from additional elective experiences.

Completion of an ACPE-accredited PharmD program
Letter of intent describing rationale for residency training
Pharmacy school transcripts
3 completed standard reference forms in PhORCAS (at least one must be from a clinical preceptor)
Select candidates will be invited for a virtual interview, which are typically conducted on select dates in early February. A virtual interview is required.
