At Providence St. Patrick Hospital (PSPH), you will have a chance to develop advanced skills in contemporary pharmacy practice. The residency is flexible, permitting us to individualize the emphasis of the program to meet your specific professional goals. The Providence organization believes strongly in patient-centered, clinical pharmacy practice. Through our PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, you will gain the broad experience necessary to succeed as a clinical pharmacist. There are 4 PGY-1 residency positions available.
To be considered for the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, you must be registered with the ASHP Matching Program. All applications are submitted via PhORCAS. Prior to the start of the program, the resident will have graduated from an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy and shall be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Montana. Applicants must pass all Providence employment screenings including but not limited to drug screens, background and health screening. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen. Strong residency candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate a pattern of professionalism and leadership, as well as being committed to patient focused pharmaceutical care.
To be eligible for the Providence St. Patrick Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program, applicants must submit the following via PhORCAS:
Cover letter, stating reasons for applying to a PGY1 and why you want to train at PSPH
Three letters of professional recommendation
One official copy of college of pharmacy transcripts
