Scipher Medicine is seeking an innovative and highly motivated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to build new collaborative relationships with medical, scientific, and reimbursement leaders. Reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs, the ideal candidate will serve as a liaison to the medical/scientific community and will be responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
What will I do? - Primary Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Provide clear, informative, fair-balanced, and compliant scientific responses to medical information requests
Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Population-Based Decision Makers
Maximize and leverage key stakeholder relationships by identifying collaborative opportunities that meet the strategic needs of internal stakeholders.
Managed care support via presentation, relationship development with managed care and/or program development
Contributes scientific content and/or helps build materials in support of medical interactions, projects or initiatives
Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature to enable meaningful scientific exchange
Utilize great written and oral skills for presentations, abstracts, and posters
Required Skills and Experience
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the laboratory developed test industry, pharmaceutical industry, other healthcare environment or equivalent experience is required
Outgoing personal style and proven ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders including Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and Population-Based Decision Makers
Ability to effectively communicate scientific content through 1:1 meetings, small group interactions, and in writing
Exceptional scientific writing capabilities and experience writing manuscripts, medical policies, dossiers, and other relevant documents.
Pharmacy management experience preferred
Understanding of the rheumatology clinical “landscape” (e.g., how treatment decisions are made across all patient types).
Ability to travel - 50% travel expected for this role
Successful track record working in fast-paced, growing organization preferred.
