Pharmacists completing this residency will be competent, confident, and compassionate providers of pharmaceutical care, as individuals and as members of the health care team. They will be prepared to accept positions as PGY2 residents, staff pharmacist in adult acute or ambulatory care, or entry level clinical pharmacists in adult acute or ambulatory care.
Must be a United States citizen and have graduated from an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited college or school of pharmacy. All residents are required to become licensed pharmacists in any state by September 30, 2021.

About VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program
VA ECHCS includes a level 1a facility that opened August 2018. The new Rocky Mountain Regional (RMR) VA Medical Center provides full-range of state-of-the-art patient care services. RMR is a 182-bed hospital with a 30-bed spinal-cord injury treatment center. Healthcare services are also provided at geographically dispersed locations throughout eastern Colorado including nine Community Based Outpatient Clinics, two Primary Care Telehealth Outpatient Clinics, a PTSD Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program, a Homeless Veteran's Domiciliary, a Community Referral and Resource Center, a Polytrauma and Blind Rehabilitation Center and VA presence on two DoD bases; Fort Carson and U.S. Air Force Academy. RMR employs over 3,000 personnel in 150 occupations.
