PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center PGY1 Residency
PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center (PHSHMC) offers a Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency program with rotations at both the Springfield and Eugene campuses. Training experiences are individualized based on existing resident competencies and personal interests. This residency program is specifically designed to train pharmacists who wish to practice as an integrated professional on the healthcare team. Residents shall be prepared for practice in a position that requires development and execution of patient-centered treatment plans, participation in the development of drug use policy and the ability to develop, implement and evaluate new pharmacy programs. To accomplish this goal, this residency program will promote development of the clinical, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills necessary to provide pharmaceutical cared and to develop and implement systems of care. Core rotations include cardiology, critical care, emergency medicine, infectious diseases, internal medicine, pediatrics, pediatric emergency medicine, administration, and precepting/teaching. The PHSHMC PGY1 Residency Program recruits for two resident positions each year.

The applicant must be graduate or candidate for graduation of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited degree program (or one in process of pursuing accreditation). |
