The primary function of the Manager, Corporate Security is to support the Chief Security Officer (CSO) in the development and implementation of an effective global security strategy and program designed to mitigate risk, safeguard the organization's human assets, intellectual property, integrity, reputation and physical assets to ensure continuity of operations.
The Manager, Corporate Security will assist in executing daily management of the Global Security program as follows:
Act as the local site security manager for day-to-day activities as well as ongoing assessment of risk to on-site business operations at all his/her locations of responsibility
Manage contract security officer efforts and performance at his/her locations of responsibility, working directly with an assigned on-site Account Manager.
Manage access control, CCTV and Intrusion alarm operations and maintenance for his/her locations of responsibility.
Aid the CSO in the ongoing development of the Corporate Security Program including policies, objectives, budgets, plans, procedures and schedules.
Assist in the development and roll out of various security training and awareness programs, including workplace violence awareness and prevention.
Provide support to Real Estate and Facilities, Legal, Human Resources, Global Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Finance, Senior Enterprise Management and Information Systems as directed/requested
Participate in and/or conduct investigations to include but not limited to fraud, theft, and workplace violence as directed
Perform site security assessments outside of his/her locations of responsibility as directed.
Maintain professional relationships / influence with all levels of company employees as it relates to security efforts.

Bachelor’s degree in a business or security related discipline is required. CPP or other security related certification from a recognized organization is a plus.
Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a corporate security environment, at least 3 of which were in a managerial role. Previous investigative experience is required. Experience in the healthcare, medical device or pharmaceutical industry a plus.
The position requires demonstrated knowledge of - and experience with - the design, installation and operation technical security systems (access control, CCTV and intrusion alarm). Experience is required in using investigative and intelligence databases. Robust capability in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office tools is essential.
The ability to communicate in Spanish (verbal) is a significant plus.
This position is based in San Diego and currently will have responsibility for direct security management for all CA security operations. This individual will also have oversight responsibility for AZ and Costa Rica security operations.
