Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center PGY1 Residency Program
The Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy residency program offered by Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) is a twelve month post PharmD training program. This program in following the guidelines and accreditation standards of ASHP for PGY1 Pharmacy Residency programs places emphasis on the practice of pharmaceutical care and involves a full-time practice commitment. The residency begins in early July and should take at least twelve months to complete. The pharmacy residency is defined as "an organized, directed, postgraduate training program that centers on development of the knowledge, attitudes and skills needed to pursue rational drug therapy".
