This ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency will provide residents a broad education in the acute care setting, gaining knowledge and experience, and developing skill in the care of patients across the continuum of ages. Core experiences include Adult Internal Medicine, General Pediatrics, Critical Care, Infectious Diseases, and Ambulatory Care, as well as longitudinal experiences in pharmacy administration, research, operations, and a teaching certificate program. A variety of elective experiences are offered, such as emergency medicine, cardiology, oncology, pediatric ICU, newborn ICU, transplant, and others. Residents will provide all facets of pharmaceutical care, participate in teaching, staff development, clinical projects, protocol development, and presentation of a major project at ASHP Midyear meeting and at a regional pharmacy residency meeting.
