Job Summary: Westat is seeking an experienced clinical data manager to support data management activities conducted at the Biostatistics and Data Management Core (BDMC of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The successful candidate will work closely with study managers, statisticians, programmers, analysts, clinical staff, and investigators. Qualified applicants must have experience across the spectrum of data management activities. This position is located in Philadelphia, PA at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Job Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary liaison with principal investigators, clinical site staff, and IT staff. • Supervise and train data management staff. • Write data management plans. • Supervise and participate in case report form design, database definition, database testing, data quality checks, and discrepancy management.
Basic Qualifications: • A bachelor’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline. • 8 years of data management experience in a pharmaceutical, academic, or CRO environment.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of regulatory requirements for FDA-regulated clinical trials, and experience using Medidata Rave EDC, REDCap, or other data management systems. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, project management, and multitasking skills are essential.
