This two-year fellowship program provides training and exposure to various aspects of Clinical Research and the Pharmaceutical Industry. The program is structured to assist the fellow in identifying future career opportunities within the pharmaceutical industry, clinical research, or academia, while learning and working in a fast-paced environment.
Attend national congresses and investigator meetings to maintain client relationships and obtain current scientific information.
Develop and/or deliver scientific presentations on assigned therapeutic area or clinical research studies.
Meet with various medical science liaisons, medical directors, and medical affairs teams from various pharmaceutical companies.
Engage in the clinical study process for phases II-IV clinical research studies.
Develop and support key enrollment strategies for clinical research studies.
Prepare proposals and develop protocols for investigator initiated studies.
Prepare clinical trial budgets and develop financial skills utilized in the pharmaceutical industry.
Educate and precept advanced pharmacy students in both the didactic and clinical settings from various Colleges of Pharmacy.
Evaluate and review relevant medical literature to write, review, edit, and publish book chapters, review articles, and/or original research manuscripts.
Obtain teaching certificates through University of Florida.
Management and Entrepreneurship
Oversee day-to-day operations of a clinical research site
Manage employees with various levels of education and assigned duties
Ensure company assignments are completed efficiently and on schedule
Work alongside the President & Vice President in the designing, initiating, and managing of a small business
Provide input for the everyday decisions of a business, including the clinical and financial assessments
