This position represents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic scientist to be a member of an Analytical Chemistry research and development group that focuses on new separation techniques for the analysis and characterization of therapeutics ranging from monoclonal antibodies, fusion proteins, enzymes, and oligonucleotides to gene therapy vectors. The candidate’s efforts will directly impact many different scientists in the world, including those developing new vaccines for the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. In this dynamic role, the candidate will become an integral part of an interdisciplinary Research and Development environment by supporting prototype evaluation, method development, and product commercialization.

Assist in hypothesis-driven experimentation to test and better understand state-of-the-art reagents and LC column technologies and their role in the analysis of large molecule therapeutics (i.e., proteins, oligonucleotides, and gene therapy vectors).
Harness scientific curiosity and ingenuity for the advancement of global health.
Execute test methods under general supervision and contribute to the preparation of reports and assisting with internal presentations to summarize scientific findings.
Contribute to technical reports, QC procedures, literature and/or patent applications.
Help maintain laboratory instruments while creating and maintaining records of test-related activities.
Proactively learn about the biopharmaceutical industry and emerging methods of analysis through literature, conferences and exchanges with customers and collaborators.
College degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related discipline
Hands-on experience with chromatography, mass spectrometry or biological assays
Demonstrated ability to contribute to a scientific project
Creativity and a keen interest in science
Well-developed oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence within a team environment
