The Global Launch Lead is accountable for leading one of Alexion’s launching brands launch readiness, near term commercial strategy and launch preparations. This role reports to the Global Commercial Lead, New Product Strategy, VISion.
Leads and establishes global launch plans, partnering with the Global Commercial Lead, regions and countries, driving key cross-functional strategic alignment and planning. Identifies strategic market opportunities and makes recommendations to enhance market potential and brand penetration.
Provides cross functional leadership to the Launch Product Team (LPT) in the development of the core launch strategy, including priorities, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Develops the launch plan, milestone monitoring, and launch team meeting agendas and priorities. Develops launch team updates, overall launch status communications and coordinates the launch readiness review process.
Assesses competitive market dynamics and prepares scenario plans for key competitive events.
Leads all global brand communications, delivering the global brand messaging platform and global campaign.
Directs all third-party contractors and vendors related to the launch.
Manage budgets in accordance with brand/launch plan.
Profile & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field, MBA preferred
7+ years’ related experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry
Demonstrates enthusiasm, strong initiative, high sense of urgency and prioritization
Successful experience in new product planning/commercial development, launches, and brand strategy development and execution
Strategic and creative thinker, with an enterprise mindset, who challenges status quo to improve results
Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization, delivering excellent presentations
Thrives in a multi-cultural, diverse, highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
