DUTIES: - Develop all budget documents - Create budget projections for four department and the Deans office - Develop and implement new procedures for fiscal tracking system for all divisions - Develop internal fiscal guidelines and procedures for all divisions - Track all budget lines, purchase requisitions and expenditures, including IFR accounts - Monitor cost sharing activities of faculty as it relates to their salaries - Troubleshoot as needed - Project budget for the expansion of and renovation of space, for the School of Public Health - Monitor budget expenditures for equipment and supplies needed for all division - Budget advertising and student recruitment activities. - Generate fiscal reports on a periodic basis - Provide adhoc reports on an as needed basis - Interface with State Purchasing, Research Foundation Purchasing and other fiscal entities Arrange travel for faculty, staff, administration, students, interview candidates, etc. - Submit reimbursement transactions for all travel related expenditures - Monitor the accuracy and currency of fiscal databases - Maintain effective and timely handling of all expenditures - Provision of high-quality materials/reports that are satisfactory to those requesting the materials. - Communication with Dean regarding fiscal issues. - Provide yearly research dollar per percent effort for faculty members on academic track. - Provide yearly research dollar per faculty per square feet space for those on the academic track - Prepare budget forecast - Complete documentation required by Human Resources for all personnel/payroll transactions and status changes. - Create tracking system for all personnel/payroll transactions being initiated by the School of Public Health and being processed - Develop new personnel files/maintain existing files - Ongoing troubleshooting to ensure a smooth operation of all divisions - Monitor and forecast public health training trends and needs - Assess the effectiveness of different marketing strategies in recruiting public health students. - Collect data from various industries (pharmaceuticals, business and technological) on their need and types of data science and related experts they require. - Design appropriate level of data collection materials from potential employers of public health students. - Collect data, perform analysis on our competitors, and on public health market research. - Prepare reports and present results by department to school of public health leadership (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION) QUALIFICATIONS: - MBA with experience in finance Additional Info: - *Please include the five digit linew number and job title in the subject line and body of your email submission.Closing Date: Open Until Filled STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY / AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER
